Basil's with Blake!

Last Thursday night Blake and I went to Basil's.  We used a Scoutmob that was expiring that day... nothing like waiting till the last minute! I had so much fun - and the food for the most part was wonderful! We had one bad appetizer, which I will tell you more about below.
FYI - Scoutmob users - Basil's is putting out another Scoutmob in the spring sometime... SO be on the lookout!
Basil's is located in Buckhead on Grandview Ave, right across from Anis.  They are located in an old house,  it is very cozy on the inside with a wood burning fireplace to warm you on a cold night! During the warmer months they have a great deck, which they heat during the winter.

Blake and I started our meal with Crab Fritters - Sounds delicious right? Uh... not so much - I hate to even talk about them because the rest of the meal was so good! Just do not order these if you find yourself at Basil's!

They were like eating an undercooked hush puppy.... was there even any crab in the fried balls??

I ordered the Salmon with roasted vegetable ratatouille with pesto on top.  DELISH! I am not sure all the vegetables that were in the Ratatouille but this dish totally made up for our BAD app!

Blake ordered the pork tenderloin - I believe it had a fig preserve on top.  It was served with mashed potatoes and broccoli!
